BLOG

You're obviously reading this for a reason. Bide-a-wee more time, and ask the Lord which posts you're supposed to find.

Honoring the words of a friend and great teacher and servant of the Word, Pastor Bill Perdue says this: "I don't write with a forced pen." I feel exactly the same. I blog when I have something to say that matters to me. I don't express my thoughts to fill up space, retaliate against an opposing perspective, or bloviate about a topic without adding something of substance and civility to the conversation. The vision of my blog is not to be a commercial, but to be a resource of encouragement, reflection, and hope. I want to share my experiences about things I wish someone had imparted to me or prompted me to weigh, so I could have avoided the delays and pitfalls I walked through before I finally made the decision to stop making broken life choices and doing everything in my own strength.

I dream a lot, nearly every night, and often more than one prophetic dream per night. I'm also having an increase in hearing words of knowledge with specific phrases, faces, names, numbers, and locations in my dreams that I looked up afterwards to verify they are real places. Recently the Lord lifted his pause to withhold some vivid prophetic dreams He's given me over the last handful of years. I've handwritten those dreams in journals. For such a time as this the scales are tipping, the necessity of the clarion is rising, and so you'll see an uptick in the quantity of dream posts until I hear Him speak otherwise. It just may take a little time to type them out, as some are lengthy. You'll know which to read. You'll know which bring you confirmation and connection. If you are a dreamer, I encourage you to write down your dreams and inquire of the Lord for their meaning.

~ Acts 2:17-21, NKJ

17

"And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,
That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions,
Your old men shall dream dreams.

18
And on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days;
And they shall prophesy.

19
I will show wonders in heaven above
And signs in the earth beneath:
Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.

20
The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.

21
And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the Lord
Shall be saved."

I hope you read the verses above and didn't skip over them. Now I want you to remember that we've been in the last days since Jesus was resurrected from the grave, and that nobody - no, nobody - knows the time of His second return. Do what you're supposed to do now, and don't get all argumentative and distracted with self inflicted battles that keep you in knots and out of love for those you're trying to reach. Lives are waiting for you to show up. Show up ready to rebuke the lies, break off strongholds, heal the sick, raise the dead, and steward the next generation. Whatever your wheelhouse, that's your mandate. Be the gateway, not the bottleneck.

Some of my other blog posts are warnings, and sound the alarm about an area He's showing me with urgency in the spirit. God is not the author of chaos, anxiety, and confusion. He does not want us to suffer and derail ourselves under preventable circumstances. We have an incredible and faithful Father who will never abandon us. Our words and witness should be saturated with His salt and light so depression, drama, deceit, mistaken identity, mediocrity, striving, and the ever-spinning measure of Man has no room to root. Disbelief is the enemy of faith. We have His authority as His ambassadors of faith! Don't doubt! Step out and see Him work through you, even in the small things!

Yes, I do write about political governance and the other 7 cultural mountains of influence. I do write about things that offend the flesh when I am led to do so. I always seek to have conversation that's respectful, and I refuse to be a road that leads away from the plumb line of Kingdom principles. I am passionate about this. How do I know this passion is from God and not from my own self indulgence? I know because even when I'm rejected, misunderstood, passed over, and needing to rest in the cave for a while, the passion and fire remains and I want to continue growing, I want to continue discovering and uncovering truth, and I want to continue discipling truth. Standing on the mountain develops the muscles to try again and it establishes our memory of where to lock in and steady in the crevices, especially in the high winds. That's how you'll know you're called to something, too. You press forward, you keep focused, you return to His compass, and you value His handholds of restraint and hiddenness not only in the seasons where you're walking on water, but also when you're in the hard seasons when you're figuring things out. You keep going. You get up. You walk it out. You climb. You check your gear. You keep your sight on Jesus.

I hear you ruminating on the convenience of "... but God, I can't right now because..."

Saying yes to God is simple. He hears us. He trains and equips us (Philippians 2:13, 2 Ephesians 2:10, Timothy 3:17.) He has a plan. He works with the yes (1 Corinthians 10:13.) But I'm not going to downplay the obedience it requires to actually do the stuff. It's not always going to be convenient to walk in your calling and maintain what needs to be maintained so you have less luggage. His burden is light (Matthew 11:28-30.) Remove the "can't" part of why you want to wait until it's easier, and instead thank God for working out the details so you go and do those things despite of any reservations you have about yourself. He gives us seeds of strategy for a purpose, not to be forgotten in the ground without watering, pruning, or harvest. We have what we allow on the earth because we either go into the world to set the temperature of the nations or we stay comfortable in our familiar places without aligning with God to cancel what He's already canceled and rebuke what He's already rebuked. All truth was established when God spoke at the beginning of eternity. Truth was. Truth is. Truth always will be. Christians are uniquely designed to engage and stand as His truth in every facet of society, and not to remain silent as we watch our own lives or that of our brothers and sisters wander the in the desert without a drink offering. We are built to speak. We were created to engage. God never said we'd be free from challenge. Trees need the storms to make their roots stronger, or they topple over in the smallest of opposing forces. Tools and skills need to be sharpened and used to mature us so we can complete our assignments, or they seize up, dull up, dry up, and resolve to die in the toolshed. God said He will guide us through all of life with His wisdom and courage when we call upon His name, believing He is who He said He is. He does not lie. His word never returns void. His power and love waters our roots, and fills His everlasting well that will never run dry.

Oh my. All of this for a blog summary. Well yes. He told me to say it.

So I pray these posts bring insight and revelation along your own journey. I pray that I am a piece to your puzzle in some wonderful, timely, and divinely supernatural way. “The Lord did not love you and choose you because you were greater in number than any of the other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. But because the Lord loves you and is keeping the oath which He swore to your fathers, the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed (bought) you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Therefore know [without any doubt] and understand that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who is keeping His covenant and His [steadfast] lovingkindness to a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments..." ~ Deuteronomy 7:7-9, AMP

"Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble in dread before them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not fail you or abandon you.”
~ Deuteronomy 31:6, AMP

"The Lord also will be a refuge and a stronghold for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble; and those who know Your name [who have experienced Your precious mercy] will put their confident trust in You, For You, O Lord, have not abandoned those who seek You." ~ Psalm 9:9-10

"He will cover you and completely protect you with His pinions, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and a wall." ~ Psalm 91:4, AMP

"No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it." ~ 1 Corinthians 10:13

Lastly, I encourage you to read all scripture in context. Stand-alone verses are wonderful reminders, Rhema, and milestones, but the wholeness of His word gives us the fullness of understanding of the relevancy of His word, while also showing us how to apply what we learn as the connective tissue to our lives. The Bible is a rich cadence of redemption and overcoming the most impossible of situations. As you search for God and answers from God you will surely find both, and the clarity for being everything you were meant to be in your life in wonderful tandem with the purposes set aside for only you, created by the One who knew you before you were even conceived.

Godspeed. You are in His care, and He sees you.

~ Psalm 139, AMP

"O Lord, you have searched me [thoroughly] and have known me.

You know when I sit down and when I rise up [my entire life, everything I do];
You understand my thought from afar.

You scrutinize my path and my lying down,
And You are intimately acquainted with all my ways.

Even before there is a word on my tongue [still unspoken],
Behold, O Lord, You know it all.

You have enclosed me behind and before,
And [You have] placed Your hand upon me.

Such [infinite] knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is too high [above me], I cannot reach it.

Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?

If I ascend to heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in Sheol (the nether world, the place of the dead), behold, You are there.

If I take the wings of the dawn,
If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea,

Even there Your hand will lead me,
And Your right hand will take hold of me.

If I say, “Surely the darkness will cover me,
And the night will be the only light around me,”

Even the darkness is not dark to You and conceals nothing from You,
But the night shines as bright as the day;
Darkness and light are alike to You.

For You formed my innermost parts;
You knit me [together] in my mother’s womb.

I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.

My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was being formed in secret,
And intricately and skillfully formed [as if embroidered with many colors] in the depths of the earth.

Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were appointed for me,
When as yet there was not one of them [even taking shape].

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!

If I could count them, they would outnumber the sand.
When I awake, I am still with You.

[a]O that You would kill the wicked, O God;
Go away from me, therefore, men of bloodshed.

For they speak against You wickedly,
Your enemies take Your name in vain.

Do I not hate those who hate You, O Lord?
And do I not loathe those who rise up against You?

I hate them with perfect and utmost hatred;
They have become my enemies.

Search me [thoroughly], O God, and know my heart;
Test me and know my anxious thoughts;

And see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me,
And lead me in the everlasting way."
