JEWELRY GALLERY UPDATES AND COMMISSIONS: As with my other artwork, I'm always in the process of updating and adding to my jewelry galleries, so you may not see all of my available pieces online. Please check back often.
I do currently take commissions to create earrings and pendants in a certain color palette. The paint I use works in such a way that each blend is absolutely unique, with a pattern that can't be exactly duplicated. Because the paint takes about 2 weeks to fully cure before I can design the rest of the piece, please allow at least 2.5-3 weeks for any customized piece(s) to be finished, in addition to the necessary shipping times.
I crossed over the bridge from painting on large surfaces to painting art on jewelry simply as a curious experiment to see if I could make some interesting earrings for myself. A couple pairs of earrings for myself quickly spilled into a lot of earrings and pendants, and it wasn't long afterward that friends and family members, and even strangers off of the street, began to ask if I sold my jewelry. The rest is history, as they say.
I love working in an array of metals, wood, and natural stone. When we travel I look for places that might avail some very special, one of a kind supplies for my jewelry. I'm also always seeking out extraordinarily beautiful vistas, which I capture in my color palettes for both my jewelry and other artwork. I take a lot of magnified photos of nature and textures, so I can go back later and study the intricacies of each one as a reference point for a future design.
Please note that the etched back of each piece of painted jewelry may age, darken, or patina naturally. This is normal. Also, if you're purchasing more than one pair of earrings at a time online, send me a note with your order and I'll get back to you about combined shipping information.
